Sunday 28, October 2012New Juvenile Justice Website Launched
![]() |
Dear IJJO users and collaborators,
It is a pleasure for me to inform you that after nine years the International Juvenile Justice Observatory will soon launch a new website (www.oijj.org), and it is an honour for all of us who work for the Observatory to share this new phase with you.
The web page has been totally redesigned, with the aim of continuing to be a platform for communication and an effective instrument of consultation with professionals and experts on juvenile justice worldwide. In this sense we would like to thank those collaborators who have participated in the updating of this website for their contributions and suggestions.
As well as new design and content, users of the new IJJO webpage will find that navigation faster and more fluid, thanks to improvements in its structure and presentation of the various sections which will continue to be updated daily.
In this way, we would like to inform you about the incorporation into the site of new sections such as “Juvenile Justice in Images” which includes various photographs and the work of artists who are aware of juvenile justice issues, allowing us the possibility of learning more about the different realities of children and young people on different continents. In the section “European Policies on Juvenile Justice” we will publish information and news material on favourable justice for children promoted by European institutions and principal organisations which specialise in research, and/or representatives of civil society which specialise in this area. And finally, in the section “Projects and Research” information will be published regarding the various research projects which the IJJO is working on with other international organisation and institutions.
As part of our commitment to Global Juvenile Justice without Borders, we are sure that this innovative virtual space will allow for accessibility to, and dissemination and exchange of information between professionals and experts worldwide who are engaged in the rights of children in conflict with the law.
We would like to thank you for the trust you place in us by coming to the site and we invite you to leave your comments or suggestions regarding this new initiative, which will allow us to improve our quality of service and the information which we provide.
Dr. Francisco Legaz Cervantes
Chairman
International Juvenile Justice Observatory (IJJO)
